The story behind Wizards abound
They swagger in with silver tongues,
promising futures bright and young.
Taxes down, jobs up, skies clear—
all problems solved within the year.
They swear they’ve cracked the secret code,
to fix the schools, repair the roads.
Each vow’s rehearsed, each smile rehearsed,
and every lie is not the first.
Elected now, the mask comes off,
the wizard’s wand is just a cough.
Budgets bloat, the scandals spread,
the rabbit pulled is long since dead.
Left or right, the trick’s the same:
new paint slapped on a broken frame.
The people groan, but still return,
to watch the cauldron never burn.
We clap for sparks that fizzle out,
still dazzled by their hollow clout.
The stage is set, the lights rebound—
and once again, the wizards abound.
