In 2009 I did a series of small paintings which were of my home town Yarra Glen. This is one of three that I did which used some postcards that were given to me in order to paint.

  • The other paintings are Vineyard, and Trestle bridge.
  • I quite like the small paintings I did from this time. It’s always a challenge and they don’t take hundreds of hours. Typically they would take 30 or 40 hours to draw and paint.

Dimensions: 15x30cm.
Painted: 2009.
Materials: Acrylic on MDF board.

It is sold framed behind glass.
Availability: For sale $250.

The story behind Old Yarra Glen railway station

This is a painting of the old Yarra Glen railway station, which is now long abandoned (and was burnt badly in the 2009 bushfires).

Like the other small paintings I did from around this time it is painted from a postcard.
