In 2009 Bert Ernie did a series of small paintings which were of his home town Yarra Glen. This is one of three that he did which used some postcards that were given to him in order to paint.

The story behind Old Yarra Glen railway station
This is a painting of the old Yarra Glen railway station, which is now long abandoned (and was burnt badly in the 2009 bushfires).
Like the other small paintings Bert did from around this time it is painted from a postcard.
