A very strident political opinion is something Bert Ernie has never been shy of. Logic operator is just such a piece. This digital abstract painting is as bold as it is beautiful.

The story behind Logic operator

A young man of twelve learns the logic used in computer programming. Within a few years, witnessing the world go about its business, he discovers the world isn’t logical. All the inputs are generating illogical outputs; there’s something that doesn’t add up.

The ones who do all the talking say one thing, but the reality is the actions aren’t matching. They say that the color red is red, when clearly it is green. The library provided some answers, but the young man had to look. Had to sort out those who wrote out of fear and obedience from the fringe dwellers who sneaked in the truth.

Many years go by. The young man is now an old man. Now the library has turned into a massive comic book store, full of fantastic imagined stories. He can’t find a book worth reading. So he wrote his own.

Admittedly, it was a fantastic, imagined world; actually, two worlds. But in it, there was a semblance of the truth that we all know – we were not running on logic anymore. The circus has come to town. The clowns are setting the town on fire. And we are afraid to do anything against the clowns.
