Bay City Rollersa painting about idols

Digital Painting - Image 009 - Bay City Rollers
Bert Ernie is an old man, and has memories of a great shit pop music band of the 70’s – Bay City Rollers. The band was an absolute phenomenon. They had numerous number one hits around the world and were idolised by teens.

Bert thought it would be good to try and paint how he feels about the music industry is totally corrupt and uses both the performers and the mindless consumers for a cash machine.
This digital abstract painting is going to look amazing on a pair of leggings or a t-shirt.
Dimensions: 12500px X 8334px.

The story behind Bay City Rollers

Throw five young musically talented lads some stylish tartan duds, hook them up with a promotional whiz. Then get on the blower to the influential types in London, and wham, bam, thank you ma’am.

You have got yourself a cash machine.

They can enjoy the fleeting fame, with their inane pop music that gets in the heads of simple people just so the execs can bring in the big bucks.

The band gets the fucks. You get the bucks.

Every year it’s the same. Fuck the art. What art? It’s not about the art it’s about the bucks. And a few fucks.
