This painting says one thing. Bert is shit hot as an abstract painter. That’s the subject – his ego
He has an absolute confidence in his being a masterful creative person.
And in doing so Bert had to take his ego out of the box and wave it around. In contemporary society that’s not considered polite. But please remember he didn’t paint this for anyone but himself.
This is an abstract painting that is very intense, masterful and ultimately exquisitely beautiful.
A very large painting that is packed full of hidden gems. The more you look at it in real life the more you understand Bert has achieved something very few artists ever even approach – a masterpiece.
This painting is so against the grain for contemporary thought. We shun ego. Which Bert believes has led to such a low point in art.
