Photorealist painting – Old Yarra Glen railway station
Small photorealist painting
This is a quite small photorealist painting of the old Yarra Glen railway station, which is now long abandoned (and was burnt badly in the 2009 bushfires). Photorealism empowers an artist with a limitless array of potential paintings. Bert decided early in 2009 to paint some of the scenery of the town he lived in – Yarra Glen. Bert walked past this beautiful scene every day and decided to paint this scene as a counterpoint to the more conceptual pieces.
