Noam Chomsky is a Professor of linguistics at MIT. Noam is famous for his work in modern linguistics and analytic philosophy. He is a prolific author and is best known to those of the ‘left’ as an inspirational, informative, and uncompromising critic of US foreign policy, mainstream media, war, Zionism and elitism.

Bert first read one of Chomsky’s books when he was in his early twenties. He has remained a major influence on the artist in terms of his political views. Noam describes himself as an anarcho-syndicalist. This is one of several factors that seem to have dissuaded many a mainstream media outlet not interviewing Noam Chomsky. Other factors are that he will almost be guaranteed to mention an ‘uncomfortable truth’ and reveal hypocrisy when interviewed on almost any important subject. And this situation demonstrates the truth of modern media – that despite being one of the most cited intellectuals alive and one of the most important thinkers of the radical left in all of history – he shall remain almost unknown and ignored by the masses. Noam Chomsky has covered this issue of media manipulation with his documentary manufacturing consent.

Noam Chomsky has an enormous range of strong views. He is one of history’s greatest thinkers, a moral activist, and a hero to the progressive left around the world. It’s a pity his insightful thoughts couldn’t reach a wider audience.
